Hello friends of Levanter Fine Foods. This is the most amazing news!!!!!!!!! We have worked very hard to try to pull this off and now we are very excited to announce the dates for the Band on the Wall – Paco Pena Flamenco Concert, Masterclass and Course!!!
10th March – 21st April 2012
Band on the Wall are hosting, in partnership with Levanter Fine Foods, a 4 day Flamenco course (running on Saturdays March 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st) incorporating guitar, dance and percussion. http://bandonthewall.org/events/3429/ All three elements will be running in the venue at the same time and will be aimed at intermediate level students interested in learning more about Flamenco and how it all works together. This will be a fantastic opportunity for musicians and dancers to lean how to collaborate, improvise and accompany as well as being a great networking opportunity.
In addition the the course there will be
Fiesta day (April 21st) beginning with a masterclass with the amazing
PACO PENA and his company followed by a paella lunch (courtesy of Levanter Fine Foods of course) with the afternoon activities including ‘Flamenco Cinema’ showing Carlos Sauras inspirational film ”Flamenco” , performances from course students, tutors and local flamencos. In the evening we have an amazing performance from course leader Nick Wilkinson
